The Yard Milano

Porta Genova station on the M2 line is a short walk south, and the Duomo is reachable in around fifteen minutes by metro or a flat, pleasant walk along Corso di Porta Ticinese. The hotel is built around a distinctive theme drawn from motorsport, sailing, and vintage sporting culture, with vintage racing memorabilia, leather furnishings, and dark wood panelling that evoke a private members' club rather than a conventional boutique hotel. The 34 rooms and suites continue this identity with sporting-themed decor and details, differentiated across Classic, Superior, and Suite categories primarily by size and outlook — some rooms overlook the Porta Ticinese arch and piazza directly. The restaurant and bar, both open to non-resident guests, serve contemporary Italian cuisine and a well-regarded cocktail list, and the bar in particular has built a reputation as a destination in its own right, drawing a design- and fashion-conscious local crowd for aperitivo. There is no spa, pool, or fitness centre.
