Armani Hotel Milano opened in 2011 on the upper floors of Giorgio Armani's flagship building at Via Alessandro Manzoni 31, at the juncture of the Fashion District and the Brera quarter. The Armani flagship boutique occupies the lower floors of the same building, and the Via Montenapoleone shopping district is a three-minute walk. La Scala opera house is five minutes south on Via Manzoni, and the Duomo is reachable in ten minutes on foot. Montenapoleone metro station on the M3 line is approximately a five-minute walk. The hotel spans the sixth through eleventh floors of the building, affording panoramic views over Milan's roofscape; many of the 95 rooms and suites look toward the Duomo spires or the distant Alps on clear days. Every element — furniture, textiles, tableware, lighting fixtures — was conceived and designed by Giorgio Armani himself, producing a hotel that reads as a three-dimensional extension of the Armani aesthetic: warm beige and taupe tones, clean lines, polished walnut, and muted luxury without decoration for its own sake.
