A small pebble beach in a roadless bay accessible only on foot or by boat, dominated by the 10th-century Benedictine abbey of San Fruttuoso. The famous Christ of the Abyss bronze statue lies submerged just offshore. The cove is minuscule and busy in summer, but the combination of abbey, clear water and total absence of cars is unforgettable.
