Hotel Accademia

Hotel Accademia is a three-star hotel with 28 rooms at Via delle Belle Arti 6 in Bologna's University Quarter, in Italy's Emilia-Romagna region. The street is named for the city's fine-arts academy and sits close to Via Zamboni, the spine of the university district, as well as the Pinacoteca Nazionale, the Teatro Comunale and Piazza Verdi. The Two Towers and Piazza Maggiore are roughly 10 to 15 minutes away on foot, and Bologna Centrale railway station is about 20 to 25 minutes on foot or a short bus ride.

The University Quarter is one of the liveliest parts of the city, filled with students, bookshops, bars and inexpensive restaurants, and the hotel's character reflects that setting: a small, straightforward three-star house rather than a large international property. With only 28 rooms, the atmosphere is intimate, and service is personal in the way of a small family-scale hotel, though details should be confirmed with the property.

Rooms are offered as double and twin rooms and listed facilities include air conditioning, an in-room safe and a minibar, with a bar on the premises. Bicycles are available for guests, which suits the flat, bike-friendly layout of the city, and parking is listed, a useful point in a district where street parking is difficult. No lift is listed in the available data, so visitors with heavy luggage or reduced mobility should confirm floor and access arrangements before booking.

There is no spa, pool or fitness room, and dining is limited to the bar and breakfast, but the surrounding streets provide many options, from student-priced osterie to traditional trattorias serving tortellini and tagliatelle. Rates generally run from about €80 to €170 per night. The hotel suits budget-conscious leisure travellers, visiting academics and students' families who want to stay inside the cultural district rather than near the station or the fairgrounds.
