Rock Climbing — Dalkey Quarry

Dalkey Quarry is a disused granite quarry perched above Dublin Bay with more than 300 recorded trad climbing routes ranging from easy scrambles to serious multi-pitch lines up to E8. Its size and variety, combined with easy DART access, make it the default outdoor crag for Dublin climbers and a popular first outdoor climbing experience for visitors. Guided beginner sessions cover harness fitting, basic movement on rock, and top-rope climbing and abseiling with full safety equipment supplied.

Tips for visiting
