Hotel Grande Bretagne occupies a neoclassical landmark on Syntagma Square, directly opposite the Hellenic Parliament at the symbolic center of Athens. The building was constructed in 1842 as a private mansion and converted into a hotel in 1874, accumulating a guest list of royalty, heads of state, and cultural figures across 150 years of Athenian history. During the Second World War the property served as German military headquarters and later as Allied Command, lending its corridors a layer of political memory beyond its social prestige.

The hotel holds 320 rooms and suites across several categories. Deluxe rooms offer city views starting on the fourth floor; Junior Suites and Grand Suites occupy upper floors with private terraces overlooking Syntagma Square, the National Gardens, or both the Parliament and the Acropolis simultaneously.
