Das Stue

Das Stue occupies a distinguished 1930s building that formerly housed the Royal Danish Embassy, on Drakestraße at the edge of the Tiergarten park and directly adjacent to the Berlin Zoological Garden in the Charlottenburg-Tiergarten area. The zoo entrance is 50 metres from the hotel entrance; the Tiergarten, Berlin's 520-acre central park, begins across the street. Kurfürstendamm shopping is a 10-minute walk, and Zoologischer Garten S/U-Bahn station — one of the city's main interchange hubs — is four minutes on foot.

Spanish architect Patricia Urquiola transformed the former embassy interiors into a theatrical environment of sculptural furniture, deep colour palettes, bespoke textiles, and zoological-themed art installations that tie the building's identity to its extraordinary neighbour. The property has just 80 rooms and suites, making it one of Berlin's most intimate luxury addresses. Room categories range from Classic to the expansive Penthouse Suite, with selected rooms overlooking the zoo's bird sanctuaries and giraffe enclosures — an outlook found nowhere else in the city.

The signature restaurant Cinco by Diego Guerrero holds a Michelin star and serves creative Spanish-influenced cuisine in a space featuring the building's original vaulted ceilings. The Cinco Bar is a destination for cocktails in its own right and operates independently of the dining room. Breakfast — an extensive European spread — is included in some rate categories.
