One of Berlin's most celebrated design hotels, occupying the iconic Bikini Berlin concept mall overlooking the zoo and jungle enclosure. The 149 rooms feature upcycled furniture and raw concrete ceilings in a playful aesthetic. The rooftop Monkey Bar is one of Berlin's most fashionable spots for drinks with zoo views. Located in the heart of Charlottenburg.
25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin occupies the upper floors of the Bikini Berlin concept mall on Budapester Straße in Charlottenburg — a 1950s modernist building whose curved glass facade faces directly onto the Berlin Zoological Garden and the Tiergarten park beyond. Zoologischer Garten S/U-Bahn station — a major interchange serving S-Bahn lines and the U2 — is directly opposite the building entrance, providing rapid access to all Berlin neighbourhoods. Kurfürstendamm boulevard begins two blocks east; the Waldorf Astoria and Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church ruin are 400 metres away. The zoo entrance is a five-minute walk.
The 149 rooms take the Berlin tradition of raw industrial aesthetics and apply it with deliberate craft: exposed concrete ceilings, industrial metal fittings, upcycled and vintage furniture sourced from around the city, hand-illustrated typographic wall treatments referencing Berlin's history, and individual touches that distinguish each room. Zoo-facing rooms look directly into the giraffe enclosure, flamingo pools, and bird aviaries — an outlook found nowhere else in any Berlin hotel. Room categories range from Loft to Suite.
The Monkey Bar on the tenth floor is among Berlin's most recognisable bar experiences: a partially open-air rooftop terrace serving inventive cocktails and light dishes with zoo canopy views, equally dramatic from the floor-to-ceiling interior glass in cooler months. Neni Berlin, on the same floor, serves Eastern Mediterranean cuisine with a devoted local following and is one of the better hotel restaurants in the western city. Breakfast — an abundant spread available until late morning — is included in some rate categories.
Service follows the 25hours group's deliberately unhierarchical and playful approach rather than traditional luxury protocols; staff are briefed on the neighbourhood, the bar scene, and the city's creative calendar. A compact fitness room is available. There is no pool or spa — the hotel's appeal rests on its design identity, location, and the quality of Monkey Bar and Neni rather than conventional wellness facilities.
