Malmousque is a small residential cove south of the Vallon des Auffes, with rocky platforms, steps and a few bathing ledges beside the sea. The coast faces west and the view runs across the water to the islands, so sunset and the hour after give warm colours on the rocks and the sea. It is a quiet alternative to the busier Vallon des Auffes. The platforms are slippery with spray, and the cove is a swimming spot in summer, so evenings are crowded in July and August.
