Les Îlets de la Plage is a small bungalow complex positioned directly on the public beach at Sainte-Anne, on the southern coast of Grande-Terre, one of Guadeloupe's most popular seaside towns. The property occupies a compact seafront plot within easy walking distance of Sainte-Anne's covered market, rum shops, bakeries, and modest restaurant row. Pointe-à-Pitre and its international airport are approximately 30 kilometres to the northwest, accessible by car or the regular bus service along the Route Nationale 4.
Accommodation consists entirely of wooden bungalows in two configurations: beach-facing units with direct sand access from their private terrace, and quieter garden bungalows set slightly back within the coconut grove that lines the rear of the plot. Both types are modest in scale — typically a single room with a double bed, ceiling fan, air conditioning unit, and a kitchenette equipped with a two-ring hob, compact refrigerator, and basic cookware. Bathrooms are en-suite with shower. There is no restaurant or bar on the property; guests are expected to self-cater or use the town's eating options, which begin immediately outside the gate.
A communal BBQ area at the centre of the property is used for informal social evenings, particularly during high season when the compact complex fills with French-speaking guests from the mainland and neighbouring islands. Beach towels and loungers are available for hire from the beach station in front of the property, and the Sainte-Anne town beach is one of the finest in Grande-Terre — calm, clear water and fine white sand with a gentle shelf entry suitable for all swimmers. Reef snorkelling is accessible a short swim from shore.
The property suits independent travellers and couples who want a simple, low-cost beachfront position without the structured resort environment. Car hire is strongly recommended for guests wishing to explore the wider island; rental desks operate in Sainte-Anne town and at the airport.

Tips for visiting
- Beach-facing bungalows are worth the slight price premium over garden units — the terrace-to-sand access is the whole point of staying here.
- Book at least two months ahead for July and August; this small property fills quickly in peak season and does not maintain much availability on short notice.
- Sainte-Anne market runs on Sunday and Wednesday mornings — buy fresh fish early and use the bungalow BBQ for an evening meal on the beach.
- There is no restaurant on-site; the nearest Creole restaurants are immediately outside the gate on the main beach road. La Toubana's beach restaurant is reachable by a ten-minute walk along the coastal path.
- Car hire is strongly recommended — the bus service along the N4 is useful for Pointe-à-Pitre but exploring Basse-Terre or the eastern tip of Grande-Terre requires independent transport.
