Ninkasi Kao (Ninkasi Gerland)

Ninkasi Kao, also known as Ninkasi Gerland, is a large venue at 267 Rue Marcel Merieux in the Gerland district of the 7th arrondissement of Lyon, France. It belongs to Ninkasi, a brewery group born in Lyon, and combines a brewery-restaurant, a bar and the Kao concert room under one roof. The crowd is wide: groups of friends, students, beer drinkers, concert-goers and families early in the evening, mostly adults from their twenties to forties later at night. The atmosphere starts as an informal brewery pub, with long tables and a lively buzz, and shifts to a concert hall or club mood on event nights. No dress code is reported, and casual clothing is normal.
