Hanting Hotel Kunming Gulou Road

Hanting Hotel Kunming Gulou Road (汉庭酒店) is a budget-chain branch in the Green Lake area of central Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. Gulou Road is in the north-western part of the old city, close to Green Lake Park, and the surrounding district is one of the most pleasant in Kunming, with the lake park, the Yunnan University campus, teahouses, cafes and small restaurants. Dongfeng Square and the central shopping areas are a short taxi or bus ride away. Visitors should confirm the exact street address, walking times and nearest metro station with the hotel, as these are not documented here.

Hanting is one of China's best-known economy hotel brands, part of the group that operates the Ji Hotel and other chains, and its hotels are known for clean, standardised rooms at low prices. Rooms generally include a comfortable bed, air-conditioning, wifi, a television and a private bathroom, and are compact and functional. Visitors should not expect extensive facilities, and room types and floors vary by branch, so details should be checked when booking.

Dining at budget-chain hotels is usually limited, with a simple breakfast offered in some branches and not in others. This matters little in the Green Lake district, which has many places to eat nearby, including noodle shops serving Yunnan rice noodles, steamed chicken restaurants and cafes around the lake. A spa, pool or fitness room should not be expected.

The service character is functional and efficient, with automated or quick check-in common in the chain, and the hotel is aimed at independent travellers, business visitors and budget-conscious tourists. English assistance is often limited, so a translation app and the Chinese name are useful. Typical nightly rates for this class of property in Kunming run from about CNY 130 to 300 (roughly USD 19 to 44), with higher prices around Golden Week and Spring Festival. The Green Lake location makes it an economical base for those who want to walk and enjoy the local atmosphere.
