Minyuan Stadium and Wudadao Rooftops

Minyuan Stadium is a Tudor-style former football ground turned public park in the Wudadao district of Heping District, its curved brick grandstand and clock tower now bordered by lawns and walking paths amid the surrounding villa rooftops. The frame combines the stadium's distinctive curved facade in the foreground with the red-tiled rooftops of Wudadao's concession-era villas visible beyond its low perimeter wall, making it a natural starting or ending point for a wider photo walk through the neighborhood. The best light is early morning, when soft, low sun avoids harsh shadow lines on the brick facade and the streets around the stadium remain empty of the tour groups and joggers who arrive later. Spring and autumn are the strongest seasons, offering mild temperatures and, in spring, blossoming trees along the stadium's perimeter paths; summer haze can dull the rooftop views in the background. The park itself has no entry fee and light foot traffic even at busier times, since it functions as a public green space rather than a ticketed attraction. Tripods are permitted on the paths; drone use is not appropriate given the surrounding residential district. The park is fully paved and level, requiring no climbing to reach any vantage point.
