Music is ambient rather than a draw in itself -- most terraces play low-volume lounge or Italian-themed background music, and the district functions more as an open-air promenade than a clubbing destination. Drinks programmes vary by venue: wine bars pour Chinese and imported wine by the glass, while a handful of cocktail-focused spots offer classic mixed drinks, and beer is widely available at the more casual restaurant-bars. Weeknight hours run from around 11:00am through 11:00pm, with the ochre-lit facades of the former concession buildings illuminated from dusk, drawing photographers and evening walkers; weekend evenings see heavier foot traffic and later closing at some bars, though the district itself has no single closing time since it is a collection of independent businesses. There is no cover charge to enter the district itself, as it is an open public area, though individual bars and restaurants set their own minimum spend for table seating, especially on the terraces facing the square.
