Changchun Sino-Japan Friendship Hotel

Changchun Sino-Japan Friendship Hotel is a long-established hotel at No. 4288 Ziyou Road in Erdao District, in the east of Changchun, Jilin Province. Erdao lies east of the Yitong River and the historic centre, so the hotel suits visitors with business in the eastern districts or those who prefer lower prices to proximity to the main sights. The Chinese name for taxi drivers is 长春中日友谊宾馆.

The name reflects a model of hotel common in China from the 1980s and 1990s, when joint or friendship-themed guest houses were built to host foreign delegations, trade missions and technical experts. The property keeps that older character: a plain, functional building with conventional rooms rather than contemporary design. Room types include Standard Rooms, Twin Rooms and Family Rooms, and listed rates run from about CNY 250 to 450 per night (approx USD 37-67), which places it firmly in the budget category.

Amenities include a restaurant, wifi, parking and a 24-hour front desk. The restaurant typically serves straightforward Chinese meals and a basic breakfast, and independent eateries in the surrounding neighbourhood offer inexpensive local dishes. There is no spa, pool or fitness centre listed, so the stay is best regarded as a simple, practical base.

The service character is basic and domestic-oriented, with a front desk that operates around the clock, a useful feature for early train departures or late arrivals. Family Rooms make the hotel a workable choice for budget-conscious families. The hotel can be contacted by phone on +86 400 666 3567. English-language support is likely to be limited, so a written Chinese address is advisable.
