A seven-storey Ming brick pagoda on the Grand Canal south of the old city, standing since 1582.
The Wenfeng Pagoda was built in 1582 by local officials who believed it would improve the city's feng shui and scholarly success. It stands seven storeys, is octagonal, and is built of brick with wooden interior stairs, overlooking the canal.
It is a quiet stop on the way to the Three Bends and is more photogenic from the water than from the temple yard.
