Holiday Inn Express Suzhou Dushu Lake

The hotel is a quiet, modern and affordable base in Suzhou for university visitors and travellers who want green space and a calm setting.Holiday Inn Express Suzhou Dushu Lake is a limited-service IHG hotel at 8 Xuetang Street, Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou 215000, in the Dushu Lake Higher Education Town of Jiangsu province, China. The listing places it in the Dushu Lake university district near Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, so the surroundings are campuses, student housing, research institutes and cafes rather than heritage streets. The area is a planned education and technology zone on the southern side of the Industrial Park, with lakeside paths and green space, and the metro connects it to the wider city. The classical gardens, Pingjiang Road and Guanqian Street in the old town are to the northwest and take roughly 40-60 minutes by metro or taxi, so visitors should plan sightseeing days accordingly. The hotel is a contemporary limited-service building focused on cleanliness, function and value. Listed room types are the Standard Room and Twin Room, and amenities include wifi and breakfast, following the Holiday Inn Express model of a buffet breakfast with Chinese and Western items. There is no full-service restaurant listed, but the university district has many cafes, canteens and casual restaurants popular with students and staff, providing inexpensive meal options. Service is efficient and straightforward, suited to visiting parents, academics, students and business guests with meetings at the universities or research institutes, as well as tourists seeking a quiet base. Rates typically run from about CNY 250 to 450 per night, offering good value in a district with fewer hotels. Graduation season and the start of the academic year bring the highest demand, so booking early for those periods is advisable. The property is best for travellers whose business is in Dushu Lake, and less convenient for those whose main aim is to explore the old town.
