Tips for visiting attractions
Make the most of your sightseeing time.
The city-center sights (Xiang Wang Hometown, Suqian Museum, Zhenru Chan Temple, the Old Yellow River parks and Maling Park) are in Sucheng District and can be covered in one day; the first three are neighbours on South Huanghe Road.
Longwang Temple Palace, Santaishan Forest Park and the Luoma Lake shore are in Suyu District; give them a second day, and take a taxi or Didi between them.
Yanghe Distillery is in Yanghe Town, south-east of the city center; Sihong's Hongze Lake Wetland and Shuanggou are a separate day to the south-west, roughly 80 km from the city center.
Public transport between the outlying sites is thin; ask a hotel front desk to call a licensed taxi for a day trip and agree the fare first.
Download Amap (Gaode) or Baidu Maps and keep the Chinese names from this guide on screen to show drivers; Google Maps is unreliable in mainland China.
