Saints Brewery

Saints Brewery is a craft brewery on the Wanda Plaza walking streets in Chang'an District, Shijiazhuang, almost directly across from the cocktail bar Drinksology. Shijiazhuang is the capital of Hebei province in northern China, and its craft beer scene is small; Saints Brewery is a regular stop for the city's foreign community and for local drinkers who prefer house-brewed beer over mass-market lagers. The crowd is mixed, typically aged twenties to forties, including foreign teachers, business travellers, and local groups meeting after work. There is no formal dress code and casual clothes are the norm. The atmosphere is sociable and informal, with shared tables and a steady stream of conversation rather than a club-style dance floor. Music is generally pop and rock played at background level. The drinks programme is built around house-brewed craft beer, usually offered in a rotating range of styles that can include lighter ales, wheat beers and darker options, priced at roughly ¥25-45 per glass, or about USD 4-7. Bottled beer, a few spirits and snack-style food are also generally available. The venue usually opens at about 5PM, earlier than many bars in the city, and closes around 1AM daily. Weeknights are relaxed, while Friday and Saturday evenings are the busiest, particularly when the walking street fills with diners from the surrounding Wanda Plaza restaurants. There is no cover charge, and reservations are rarely needed, though a call ahead helps for large groups. Bottle service is not part of the model; beer is ordered by the glass or pitcher. The brewery works well as an early-evening start before moving across the street to Drinksology for cocktails.
