Drinksology is a cocktail bar on the Wanda Plaza walking streets in Chang'an District, Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei province. It was opened by a bartender with experience in well-known Beijing bars, and that background shapes the venue: the focus is on properly made cocktails rather than on simple beer service, which makes it one of the few places in the city where classic and contemporary mixed drinks are the main draw. The crowd is a mix of foreign residents, English teachers, business travellers and younger local professionals, mostly aged mid-twenties to late thirties. The dress code is smart casual in practice, though nobody is turned away for informal clothes. The atmosphere is relaxed and conversational, with seating arranged for small groups and couples instead of a packed dance floor. Music is typically a mellow selection of pop, house-leaning tracks and lounge-style playlists kept at a level that allows conversation. The drinks programme centres on craft cocktails, generally priced at about ¥45-80, which is roughly USD 7-12, with classics such as old fashioneds, margaritas and mojitos alongside house creations. A selection of spirits, wine and beer is also available for guests who prefer something simpler. The bar normally opens at about 7PM and closes around 2AM daily. Weeknights are quiet and ideal for a considered drink, while Friday and Saturday bring larger groups and a more animated room after about 9PM. There is no cover charge. Reservations are not normally required, though calling ahead for a larger weekend group is sensible. Bottle service is not a major feature. Because Saints Brewery sits almost directly across the walking street, many visitors combine the two, starting with beer and finishing with cocktails or the reverse.
