Guilin MixC

Guilin MixC is the city's upscale shopping mall, located at No. 1 Hongling Road in Xiufeng District, Guilin, in China's Guangxi region. MixC malls are operated by China Resources Land and are known for a polished, design-led format, and the Guilin branch is regarded as the city's premium retail destination. Its brand mix centers on affordable-luxury boutiques, international and domestic fashion, beauty counters, lifestyle stores and the city's only POP MART store, which sells collectible designer toys and attracts fans from across the area. Unlike the open markets of the old center, everything here is a branded, fixed-price outlet, so authenticity is high and counterfeits are not a concern. Bargaining is not part of the culture, although seasonal sales and membership promotions are common, and many stores take part in mall-wide discount events. Payment is accepted by Alipay, WeChat Pay and bank cards, and international Visa and Mastercard cards are more likely to work here than in street markets, though visitors should still carry a mobile wallet. Tax-refund eligibility depends on the individual store and on China's departure refund rules, so foreign visitors should ask about participating shops and keep passports ready. The mall is open daily from about 10:00 to 22:00. The atmosphere is air-conditioned, spacious and modern, with families and young professionals making up much of the crowd, and weekends and holidays are the busiest. Dining is a major attraction, with mid-to-high-end restaurants offering Chinese regional cuisine, hotpot, Japanese and Western options, plus cafes, bakeries and tea chains. The layout stacks fashion and beauty on the lower floors and moves toward dining, entertainment and children's activities higher up, a pattern common in Chinese malls. Visitors can use the mall as a comfortable break from weather and as a place to compare prices with the market areas. It is located away from the old city, so taxi or metro is the usual way to reach it.
