At Luohu Commercial City and Huaqiangbei, bargaining is expected and normal; vendors typically start well above their real price
Start a counter-offer around 30-50% of the asking price and negotiate up from there, especially for bags, accessories, and electronics
Being willing to walk away is often the fastest way to a lower price; vendors will frequently call back with a better offer
Buying multiple items from the same stall (bulk purchases) usually unlocks a better per-item price
Fixed-price mall stores (Coco Park, MixC, KK Mall) do not bargain; bargaining applies to market stalls, not branded retail
