Sheraton Lanzhou Anning Hotel

Sheraton Lanzhou Anning Hotel is a Marriott-brand five-star property in western Anning District, Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province. The area lies away from the old centre of Chengguan District and is associated with universities and newer development along the Yellow River's western reach, so the setting is calmer and more spacious than the downtown. The address is listed as the Anning West Road area and should be confirmed on marriott.com before travel.

Sheraton is Marriott's classic full-service brand, and this hotel offers guest rooms and suites, several restaurants, a fitness centre and free Wi-Fi. The style is that of a conventional international business hotel, with a large lobby, banquet and meeting capability, and the polished service typical of the brand. Suites suit longer stays or guests who need a workspace, while standard rooms cover business and leisure travellers.

Dining usually combines an all-day restaurant serving international and Chinese dishes with specialist outlets, and breakfast buffets are a common feature of the brand. Visitors who want Lanzhou beef noodles or night-market snacks will need to travel into the central city, which is a taxi or Metro ride away; the distance is noticeable, so the hotel suits guests with business in Anning, university visitors, and those who prefer a quieter international-standard property.

From Anning, the Yellow River riverside promenade and bridges are accessible by taxi, as are the Gansu Provincial Museum and the centre of Chengguan. Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport is about 70 km north of the city, and the railway stations are reachable by car. Prices are listed in the mid price band relative to international five-stars, which makes the Sheraton good value for the luxury category in this city.
