Albergue do Porto is a long-standing budget hostel in Salvador's Barra neighborhood in Bahia, occupying a residential building near the Porto da Barra area — the section of Barra closest to the Bay of All Saints. The hostel is a short walk from Praia da Barra, the beach at the tip of the Barra peninsula and one of Salvador's most popular urban beaches, particularly celebrated for its sunsets framing the Farol da Barra lighthouse and the confluence of the bay and the open Atlantic. The surrounding streets are quiet and residential in character, offering a calmer environment than the main Avenida Oceânica commercial strip while remaining well connected by bus to the rest of the city.
