Gallery 11/07/95 at Trg Fra Grge Martića 2 in the old town of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a memorial museum devoted to the Srebrenica genocide of July 1995. Its name marks 11 July 1995, the day Bosnian Serb forces entered the United Nations safe area of Srebrenica. In the days that followed, more than 8,000 Bosniak men and boys were killed, and both the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and the International Court of Justice have ruled that the killings constituted genocide. The gallery opened in 2016 and uses photographs, film, documents and personal testimony to tell the story from the fall of the enclave through to the discovery of mass graves, the identification of victims and the burials at the Potočari memorial. Survivor and family interviews give the exhibition a human dimension, and a section describes the continuing search for missing persons. The approach is multimedia and thematic, rather than strictly chronological, and the atmosphere is sombre. Some material is graphic, so visitors should be prepared and parents should consider suitability for young children. Labels and audio are available in English as well as Bosnian. The gallery sits on a small square close to the Cathedral and Baščaršija, so it is easy to combine with other old-town sites. Admission is about 12 KM, and reported opening hours are 09:00 to 22:00 daily, although it is sensible to confirm locally or by phone on +387 33 953 170. A visit generally takes 45 minutes to an hour. Many visitors follow it with a day trip to the Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial, about two hours from Sarajevo by road.
