Wildlife Camp

Wildlife Camp occupies a site within the boundary of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park on the edge of Livingstone, making it the only accommodation actually inside the park on the Zambia side of Victoria Falls. The setting places guests directly on protected land where southern white rhinos, plains zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and various antelope roam the same unfenced terrain as the accommodation — wildlife encounters on foot between the camp structures are routine rather than exceptional. Accommodation is intentionally basic, positioned at budget pricing in line with the national park context. A-frame chalets have ceiling fans, simple wooden furniture, and private en-suite bathrooms. Canvas tents on timber platforms offer a more atmospheric option with mesh walls and a platform deck. A campsite with a shared ablution block serves travellers with their own tents or overlanding vehicles. There are no satellite televisions, minibars, or hotel-grade furnishings — the value proposition is access to the park and proximity to wildlife, not room quality. The camp restaurant and bar serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner from a practical menu of grilled meats, stews, and sandwiches. The outdoor dining deck overlooks a small waterhole that animals visit regularly, giving meal times a second function as informal game viewing. A compact swimming pool provides afternoon cooling. Activity options include guided rhino-tracking walks with park rangers, walking trails through the park, and morning game drives. Mosi-oa-Tunya is one of only a handful of protected areas globally where visitors can walk legally in the vicinity of southern white rhinos under ranger supervision — the experience is a genuine differentiator from other Livingstone accommodation. Victoria Falls itself is accessible from inside the park on established foot trails; the walk from camp to the main Zambia-side viewpoints takes approximately 30–40 minutes through open bush. Park entry fees are paid at the gate on arrival and cover the duration of the stay.
