Tadioto

Tadioto is the bar of writer and artist Nguyen Qui Duc, a long-running fixture of Hanoi's creative scene, now at 24B Le Phung Hieu in Trang Tien Ward, in the French Quarter of Hoan Kiem District, about 600 metres east of Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi, Vietnam. Red walls, salvaged furniture and rotating artwork surround a bar that pours cocktails, Vietnamese spirits and craft beer, and the walls double as an informal gallery. The crowd is a mix of writers, architects, filmmakers, artists, expatriates and curious visitors, mostly adults from their late twenties upward, and the atmosphere is intimate, bohemian and conversation-led. There is no dress code; casual and creative clothing is normal. The events calendar is central to the identity: readings, DJ sets and small live acts are scheduled alongside regular bar service, so the music style depends on the night, ranging from spoken word and acoustic performance to DJ-led evenings. Drinks cost about 80,000-220,000 VND, roughly USD 3.08-8.46. The bar is open daily from about 09:00 to 24:00, with event nights running later, so it works for a daytime coffee or drink as well as an evening visit. There is no cover charge on ordinary nights, while ticketed events vary in price. There is no bottle-service culture. Reservations are not usually needed, but visitors who want to attend a particular reading or performance should check the venue's own channels for the schedule and any ticketing. The location in the French Quarter places it within a short walk of the Opera House and Trang Tien, so it pairs easily with a concert or a stroll after dinner.
