Hanoi Social Club occupies a three-storey French-era villa at 6 Hoi Vu, a quiet lane behind the cathedral in Hang Bong Ward, Hoan Kiem District, about 500 metres west of Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi, Vietnam. It runs as a cafe by day and a bar by night, and its mismatched vintage furniture, rooftop terrace and small stage give it a bohemian character. The crowd is a steady mix of Hanoi creatives, long-stay visitors, digital workers and travellers, mostly adults in their twenties and thirties, and the atmosphere is relaxed, creative and welcoming. There is no dress code; casual clothing is normal. Music is a real feature. Acoustic sets, DJ nights and album launches fill the calendar, with live music on scheduled evenings from about 20:30, and the programming leans towards independent and acoustic acts. The kitchen runs a long vegetarian list, and the bar serves cocktails, beer, wine and coffee. Drinks cost about 60,000-180,000 VND, roughly USD 2.31-6.92. The venue is open daily from about 08:00 to 23:00, so it works for breakfast, an afternoon coffee and an evening drink alike. Most nights have no cover charge, while ticketed gigs cost about 100,000-200,000 VND, or USD 3.85-7.69. There is no bottle service. Reservations are not usually needed for regular evenings, but visitors planning to attend a ticketed gig should check the venue's Facebook page for the schedule and any booking arrangements. The rooftop terrace is a popular spot in fine weather, and the lane setting keeps the noise level lower than the busy Old Quarter. Because the villa spreads over several floors, seating choices range from quiet corners to spaces near the stage.
