1900 Le Théâtre

1900 Le Théâtre is the Old Quarter's biggest club, at 8B Ta Hien in Hang Buom Ward, Hoan Kiem District, on Ta Hien beer street in Hanoi, Vietnam. It occupies a converted theatre, with a main floor where Vietnamese and international DJs play EDM, hip-hop and house, a balcony level, bottle-service tables and frequent guest bookings. The club absorbs the beer-street crowd as the stalls close and keeps going well past the Old Quarter's informal curfew. The crowd is young and mixed, mostly in their early twenties to thirties, with Vietnamese clubbers, backpackers and short-stay visitors sharing the floor. There is no strict dress code, though tidy casual clothing is expected and sandals and sportswear may be refused at the door. The atmosphere is loud, crowded and high-energy, with the balcony offering a view over the floor. Music is the main draw, with EDM, hip-hop and house on rotation and bigger crowds for guest DJ nights. The bar serves spirits, beer and mixers at about 120,000-300,000 VND, roughly USD 4.62-11.54, and bottle service starts from about 2,000,000 VND, or USD 76.92. The club opens nightly from about 21:00, and Friday and Saturday are busiest from about 22:30 to 02:00. Entry is commonly 100,000-300,000 VND, or USD 3.85-11.54, higher for guest DJ nights. Reservations are mainly relevant for bottle-service tables, which visitors can request through the venue, and groups with a table usually get quicker entry than walk-ins. Because Ta Hien is a busy street, visitors should watch belongings on the way in and out and agree any tab clearly before ordering. Many visitors start with bia hoi on the street before heading upstairs, and the club is a short walk from most Old Quarter accommodation.
