🌸 Spring

Sep-Nov

Mild and pleasant with wildflowers and lush green landscapes. Excellent for hiking and sightseeing before summer crowds arrive. Temperatures 15-22°C.

Dec-Feb

Hot and humid with peak tourist season. Beach resorts pack out especially in January when Argentine visitors flood in. Temperatures 25-35°C. Long days with sunset after 8PM.

Tips: Book accommodation 2-3 months ahead for Punta del Este and José Ignacio. Wear strong sunscreen and stay hydrated

Mar-May

Comfortable temperatures 18-25°C with fewer crowds and lower prices. The wine harvest season makes it ideal for winery visits. Some beach facilities close after Easter.

Jun-Aug

Cool and occasionally rainy with temperatures 10-16°C. Uruguay's beaches are quiet and coastal towns deserted. Montevideo's cultural life is most active in winter. Occasional frost inland.

Tips: Bring a warm jacket and waterproof layer. Some coastal restaurants and hotels close in winter. Montevideo carnival events in July and August offer cultural interest
