AT&T Stadium

AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, is the home of the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League and one of the largest and most architecturally ambitious sports facilities ever built. The stadium opened in 2009 at a cost of $1.2 billion and seats approximately 80,000 for NFL games, expandable to over 100,000 for major events using standing-room floor capacity. The retractable roof and retractable end-zone doors—each 120 feet tall and among the largest moving glass structures ever constructed—allow the stadium to function as a fully enclosed venue in the Texas heat or an open-air environment in favorable weather.

The building's scale is difficult to comprehend without visiting. The field-level interior is a single column-free span of 900 feet—achieved through two massive arches spanning the roof at 292 feet above the field. The center-hung video board measures 180 feet wide by 53 feet high, one of the largest high-definition displays in the world, suspended 90 feet above the playing surface. The stadium's superlatives are part of its identity: 'Jerry World,' as it is commonly nicknamed after Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, is explicitly designed to be the biggest everything.

Stadium tours operate daily and cover the full range of the facility: field level, the Cowboys locker room, press boxes, luxury suites, the Cowboys Ring of Honor corridor, and a permanent contemporary art collection of more than 2,000 commissioned works installed throughout the concourses and suites. VIP tours include field access for photographs and are popular with dedicated Cowboys fans making a pilgrimage.

The stadium hosts major events beyond the NFL season, including the Cotton Bowl Classic, Big 12 Championship games, international soccer matches, boxing, WrestleMania, and major touring music concerts.
