The Mining Exchange

The Mining Exchange occupies a stunning 1902 Romanesque Revival building at 8 South Nevada Avenue in downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado, originally constructed as the Colorado Springs Mining Exchange where fortunes in gold and silver were traded during the Cripple Creek mining boom. The building's soaring coffered ceilings, ornate columns, exposed brick, and original tile floors have been preserved and celebrated through a sensitive adaptive reuse that converted the former trading floor into one of Colorado's most atmospheric boutique hotels. The Wyndham Grand property operates 117 rooms and suites spread across the historic original building and an integrated modern tower, giving guests the choice between rooms steeped in mining-era character and more contemporary accommodations.
