Academy LA

Academy LA is a multi-room nightclub at 6021 Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, built around a large main floor with a rooftop and additional spaces for different music styles. The venue opens on event nights, generally from about 9:00 PM until 3:00 AM, and the programming calendar on the website shows which acts and promoters are scheduled. The crowd is mainly in their 20s and 30s, including locals and visitors, and the atmosphere on busy nights is loud and energetic with a dedicated dancing audience. Many events are 21 and over, and photo identification is expected at the door. The dress code is typically club-casual, with going-out outfits favored over athletic wear. Music centers on house and techno, with other electronic subgenres and guest DJs on some nights, and the sound system and lighting are designed for long sets. Drinks include a full bar with cocktails, spirits, beer and bottled water at club prices, and the rooftop offers a place to cool down between sets. Cover charges are typically $20 to $50, depending on the lineup, and tickets are often sold online, which can shorten the wait. Table and bottle service is available for groups through the venue, and reservations are advisable for weekend nights. Lines can form at the door on peak nights, and early arrival or advance tickets help. The venue sits on Hollywood Boulevard, close to the Hollywood Walk of Fame area, and rideshare drop-offs are common. Visitors seeking a modern Hollywood electronic music night with multiple rooms and a rooftop often choose Academy LA, and checking the event page before going is the best way to match the music to personal taste.
