Lilac, magnolia and rose collections on the Dnipro hills, with river views from the upper terraces.
The M.M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden spreads across about 130 hectares of hills above the Dnipro. For photographers the high points are the lilac collection in early May, the magnolias in April, the rose beds in June and open meadow compositions with the river behind. Paths are wide and gravel; a long lens helps isolate blooms. Check opening conditions and ticketing before a visit.
