Edremit Lakeview Resort sits on the western edge of Edremit district, roughly 20 kilometres southwest of Van city, where the road follows the north-western rim of Lake Van and the mountains drop sharply toward the water. The property is purpose-built as a lakeside retreat with unobstructed views across the alkaline expanse of Lake Van toward the volcanic peak of Süphan Dağı on the northern horizon. The building is a low-rise structure set in landscaped grounds, designed to maximise lake exposure from its terrace, restaurant, and upper-floor rooms.

Room categories range from standard doubles to lakeview doubles and suites. The lakeview double is the property's primary draw, with wide-aperture windows framing the lake surface and the surrounding mountains — particularly striking at sunrise and at the golden hour before sunset. Suites add a separate seating area and a larger bathroom configuration. All rooms have air conditioning and free Wi-Fi.

The resort offers direct swimming access to Lake Van. The lake's notably high alkalinity (pH approximately 9.8, owing to mineral runoff from the surrounding volcanic terrain) produces a silky, buoyant quality to the water that makes swimming distinctive, though the high pH rules out drinking. Towels and basic lakeside facilities are provided. Water shoes are advisable for lake entry at many points along the shoreline.

The on-site restaurant serves regional Turkish and Kurdish cuisine — local lamb preparations, lake-system fish, mezze, and a full Van breakfast spread in the mornings. The terrace doubles as an evening lounge. There is no spa or gym, but the grounds and lake frontage provide space for relaxed outdoor activity. The resort is 20 kilometres from Van city, a journey of roughly 25 minutes by car or taxi along a well-paved road. The property is particularly popular in summer when lake activities and milder lakeside temperatures draw visitors from across eastern Turkey and from Van city for weekend breaks.
