Ani Boutique Hotel occupies a restored stone townhouse on Karadağ Caddesi, a quiet residential street roughly seven minutes on foot from Kars city centre and about 45 km by road from the Ani archaeological site — the medieval Armenian capital the hotel takes its name from. The building dates to the late Russian colonial period (Kars was under Russian administration 1878–1920), and the owners have preserved the thick basalt walls and ornate ironwork while adding contemporary furnishings: exposed stone contrasts with warm timber floors and kilim-covered seating.
