The dining room is unpretentious — plastic chairs, formica tables, and fishnets draped for atmosphere — but the terrace jutting over the Yeşilada waterfront more than compensates, offering unobstructed views across Eğirdir Lake to the Taurus Mountain foothills. Service is straightforward and friendly, with the daily catch often displayed in a chill counter near the entrance so diners can choose their own fish by size and weight. Beverages are limited to soft drinks, ayran, and tea; the restaurant does not hold a liquor licence. Gölbaşı draws a predominantly local crowd of fishermen, families, and weekend day-trippers from Isparta city. Pricing is very reasonable by Turkish standards, and meals are typically concluded with a complimentary glass of çay. Walk-in is the norm throughout the year, though summer weekends on Yeşilada Island can be busy from midday onwards.
