Hakkâri is a remote, breathtakingly scenic province in southeastern Turkey, bordering Iraq and Iran. Rising to altitudes above 4,000 metres in the Cilo-Sat mountain range, it offers pristine alpine lakes, dramatic river gorges, ancient fortresses, and a rich Kurdish cultural heritage largely untouched by mass tourism.
