Palandöken Mountain Lodge sits at approximately 2,200 metres above sea level in the upper zone of Palandöken Ski Resort, around twelve kilometres south of Erzurum city centre on the slopes of Mount Palandöken. Ski-in/ski-out access is the property's defining characteristic: the main ski runs pass directly alongside the lodge, allowing guests to clip into bindings immediately outside the entrance without transfers or equipment hauling. Palandöken is regarded as one of Turkey's premier ski destinations, with a vertical drop of around 1,600 metres, consistent snowfall from December through April, and a lift network that serves beginner through advanced terrain, including some of the longest runs in the country.
The lodge interior balances warmth with alpine character: timber accents, mountain views from room windows, and a layout designed around the ski day. Double rooms, family suites, and panorama suites are the principal room categories. The panorama suites offer floor-to-ceiling glazing with views across the Palandöken slope network and, to the north, the Erzurum plateau extending toward the Pasinler valley — among the most dramatic vistas available from any accommodation in the region. A sauna provides post-skiing recovery, and the on-site bar and restaurant serve à-la-carte dining and hot drinks throughout the day, drawing both in-house guests and visiting skiers from the resort.
Service levels are the highest available in the Erzurum accommodation market, with attentive year-round staff and a well-maintained facility suited to families, couples, and ski groups with higher budgets. Outside ski season, the lodge is minimally operated; winter occupancy — particularly in January and February — is high, and advance booking is strongly recommended.

Tips for visiting
- Book three to four months ahead for January and February stays — the lodge sells out during school-holiday ski windows and long public holiday weekends
- Altitude means temperatures can reach −25 °C or lower; technical ski clothing rated for severe cold is essential rather than optional
- Erzurum city centre is approximately 25 minutes by car — the historic sites, local restaurants, and the city bazaar make worthwhile half-day excursions between ski days
