Başak Otel

Başak Otel is a small, independently run budget hotel on Ordu Caddesi in central Erzincan, situated within a few minutes' walk of the main shopping street and city square. Ordu Caddesi is a quieter side street compared to the main commercial avenues, giving the property a marginally calmer ambient environment than some of its peers in the city centre. The building is a plain multi-storey structure consistent with the post-earthquake functional architecture that characterises much of Erzincan's accommodation stock — built for utility rather than aesthetic distinction. Room categories include single, double, and triple configurations; the triple rooms make it a reasonable choice for small families or groups of three travelling on tight budgets, as comparable budget triples are not standard across all Erzincan properties. All rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, television, and Wi-Fi; cooling is by fan rather than air conditioning, which at Erzincan's elevation is manageable through most of the year outside of midsummer afternoons. The reception area is small and primarily staffed during daylight and early evening hours — late arrivals should contact the hotel in advance. There is no on-site restaurant or breakfast service, but the central Erzincan neighbourhood has a good concentration of affordable eateries including soup houses and pide restaurants that open early. The hotel is popular with families from surrounding rural Erzincan province visiting the city for medical appointments, shopping, or administrative business, as well as solo budget travellers and small trade groups in transit through the region.
