The Kaleiçi Market to Harbor Food Walk is a three-hour guided culinary walk through the heart of Antalya's historic old quarter, taking participants from the covered bazaar deep into the Ottoman-era street grid before descending to the Roman harbor. Antalya's Kaleiçi district, a UNESCO-recognized historic area on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, holds some of the country's most concentrated street-food traditions, shaped by centuries of trade between the Taurus Mountains and the Levantine sea routes.

The walk begins in the covered bazaar, where spice vendors display vivid arrangements of sumac, dried chili, and Turkish oregano alongside mounds of dried fruits from the Manavgat valley. Participants taste house-prepared fresh meze — cold dips of patlıcan (smoky aubergine), cacık (yogurt and cucumber), and seasonal vegetable preparations — sourced directly from the bazaar's food quarter. The route then follows cobbled lanes past Ottoman-era caravanserais toward the Kesik Minare mosque quarter, where a local bakery produces freshly baked börek: flaky pastry filled with white cheese, spinach, or minced lamb.

Mid-tour, participants visit a baklava shop in the old town for a structured tasting comparing walnut-filled Antep-style baklava with the pistachio varieties more common to the Antalya coast. This is followed by a seated Turkish coffee ceremony at a traditional kahvehane (coffeehouse), where the guide explains the ritual of fortune-telling from coffee grounds — still practiced in Kaleiçi.

The walk concludes at the Roman harbor, where wooden gulet boats are moored alongside fish restaurants. Participants taste harbor-side seafood meze: fried calamari, pickled anchovies, and sea bass carpaccio with lemon and caper dressing. A recipe card booklet summarizing the day's tastings is distributed at the end. The tour covers approximately 2.5 kilometers on foot across uneven cobblestone surfaces. Eight to ten individual tastings are included in the price, balancing roughly 60% savory to 40% sweet items. Turkish coffee, çay, and non-alcoholic drinks are provided; alcoholic beverages are not included. Local guides conduct the tour in English and Turkish; Spanish and German may be available with advance notice. Groups are capped at twelve participants. Dietary substitutions, including gluten-free alternatives at several stops, can be arranged with 48 hours' advance notice.
