Capa Restaurant (Capa Balik)

Capa Restaurant, also known as Capa Balik, has been a cornerstone of Adana's upscale dining scene since its establishment in 1983. Sited on the banks of the Seyhan River in the Yeni Baraj neighbourhood of Seyhan district, the restaurant enjoys a setting that is rare in the city: lush garden seating, views across the river towards the dam lake and the forested slopes beyond, and the ambient sound of moving water that distances diners from the urban heat and noise a few kilometres away. The combination of waterfront greenery and a decades-long reputation for fresh fish has made Capa the go-to venue in Adana for anniversary dinners, family gatherings and business meals that call for a degree of occasion.

The menu is anchored in Turkish fish and seafood cookery. Levrek izgara (grilled sea bass) and tuzda balik (whole fish baked in a salt crust) are the headline preparations, both dependent on the quality of the day's catch and both characteristic of the Turkish seafood restaurant tradition. Ahtapot salatasi (octopus salad) and kalamar sis (squid skewers) appear among the cold and hot mezes, which are served in the lavish spread typical of a restaurant at this price point. Fresh mezes — tarama, haydari, hummus, marinated vegetables — precede the fish course and are themselves a reason many regulars visit. The beverage list includes raki, the traditional anise-spirit companion to Turkish fish, as well as a selection of wines.

Capa spans two large dining halls and a garden terrace, and also features a children's play area — an unusual amenity for a fine-dining fish restaurant that reflects the venue's family-occasion positioning. Reservations are strongly recommended, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings and during summer, when the riverside terrace is fully booked several days in advance. A full meal with meze, fish and beverages typically costs between TRY 700 and 1,300 per person (approximately USD 15–28).
