Sorell Hotel Seidenhof

Sorell Hotel Seidenhof is an upscale city hotel at Sihlstrasse 9 in the central district of Zürich, Switzerland, a few steps from Bahnhofstrasse and close to Sihl river and the Sihlstrasse shopping streets. The address sits between Paradeplatz and the main station, so most of the city's key sights are reachable on foot: the Old Town and Limmat are about ten minutes away, and tram stops on Bahnhofstrasse and at Paradeplatz connect the hotel to the rest of the city. Zürich Hauptbahnhof is roughly ten minutes' walk, and the airport is reached by direct train from there in about ten minutes. The hotel is part of the Sorell group and presents a modern, practical interior suited to business and leisure travellers who want a central base without luxury pricing. Rooms are offered as Single Rooms, Double Rooms, Twin Rooms and Suites, with comfortable beds, desks and the technology expected of a business-class city hotel; the quality of outlook varies by floor because the building stands in a dense urban area. The amenities list includes wifi, breakfast and a bar. Breakfast is typically a buffet and is a convenient start for guests heading to meetings or sightseeing, while the bar provides a relaxed place for a drink after a day in the city. There is no spa or pool, so guests who want wellness facilities should look at higher-priced properties. Dining options are plentiful in the surrounding streets, from Swiss restaurants to international and casual cafés. Service is efficient and friendly, with reception staff able to help with transport, local advice and luggage, which suits business guests, shoppers and short-stay visitors. Typical rates run from about CHF 250 to CHF 450 per night, varying with demand during trade fairs and holidays. City traffic and trams near Sihlstrasse produce daytime noise, so guests who prefer quiet may request a higher room or one facing the courtyard.
