A loop of around eight kilometres can be built from these paths on mostly level, well-surfaced forest tracks, with a few short climbs. Clearings on the western slope open views down over the city to Lake Zürich and, on clear days, to the Alps. The tram connection makes the route a convenient short outing without any need for a car, and it is easily shortened or extended using the many junctions. Paths are signposted with the standard yellow Swiss hiking markers.
