A design museum in the Toni-Areal, a repurposed milk factory that now houses the Zürich University of the Arts, with posters, graphics and applied-art exhibitions.
The Museum für Gestaltung Zürich presents Swiss graphic design, posters, industrial design and decorative art. Since 2014 its main venue has been the Toni-Areal, a former dairy plant converted into a big university of the arts campus with a concrete spiral ramp and a rooftop terrace. Collections of posters and graphic works range from the early 20th century to the present, and exhibitions change several times a year. Visits take around one to two hours. The building gives the museum a strong architectural character, and the surrounding Zürich West district adds cafés and creative businesses.
