An interactive museum of the world's most popular sport, set in a former Enge office building near Zürich's lakeshore, with FIFA's history, World Cup memorabilia and a football-themed play zone.
The FIFA World Football Museum opened in 2016 beside Zürich Enge station, close to FIFA's Swiss headquarters. Over three floors it documents the history of the game, the FIFA World Cup, and the cultural role of football around the world. Displays include World Cup trophies and balls, shirts, original match footage, and interactive games where visitors can test their shooting or goalkeeping. The upper floors host temporary exhibitions and a rooftop view over the lakeshore. A full visit lasts about two hours, and the museum is easy to combine with Museum Rietberg or a lakeside walk. Weekends and school holidays are busiest.
