The Sammlung Rosengart, or Rosengart Collection, occupies a former bank building at Pilatusstrasse 10, five minutes' walk from Bahnhof Luzern, in the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland. It presents the private collection of classical modern art assembled by Angela Rosengart and her father, the dealer Siegfried Rosengart, who was close to several of the artists on display. The core of the museum is a large group of works by Pablo Picasso, many from his late years, shown together with more than 100 works by Paul Klee, whose delicate small-format pieces fill dedicated rooms. Other names include Cezanne, Monet, Miro and Chagall, so a visit gives a compact tour of early 20th-century painting from Impressionism through Cubism to abstraction. The rooms are intimate rather than monumental, with works hung at close range, which allows visitors to study brushwork and details. A typical visit takes one to two hours. The museum is open daily from 10:00AM to 6:00PM from April to October and from 11:00AM to 5:00PM from November to March, and it closes on some carnival days. Admission is CHF 20 for adults, CHF 17 for AHV/IV holders and CHF 10 for students with ID. A public tour runs on Sundays at 11:30AM from 24 May to 27 December 2026 for CHF 8 plus admission, and a children's tour, Kinder führen Kinder, costs CHF 5 per child for ages 7 to 11 on 21 October and 25 November 2026 at 2:00PM. Weekday afternoons are the quietest, and the museum is rarely overcrowded. Because it sits just up from the station, it fits easily into a short city stay or a rainy-day plan.
