SYHA Hostel Interlaken

SYHA Hostel Interlaken is a Swiss Youth Hostel Association property at Untere Bönigstrasse 3, on the eastern edge of Interlaken near the shore of Lake Brienz in the Bernese Oberland. The position is quieter than the town centre but remains well-connected: it is a fifteen-minute walk to Interlaken Ost train station, the departure point for the Jungfrau Railway that ascends to Jungfraujoch at 3,454 metres, and a short cycle or bus ride to the action sports operators concentrated in the town centre who offer paragliding, white-water rafting, canyoning, and skydiving. Accommodation follows the SYHA standard: a combination of mixed and female-only dormitories with bunk beds and private rooms suitable for couples or families, all with access to clean shared bathrooms on each floor. A spacious shared kitchen allows self-catering, which is particularly valuable in the tourist-oriented town where restaurant prices can be high.
