Most Spanish museums are free for children under 12-16 years and heavily discounted for under-18s - always check before paying adult prices for older children
Pack sun protection for Mediterranean and Canary Islands summers - UV intensity is extreme and children burn quickly. Reapply every 2 hours at the beach
Train travel is genuinely better than driving for families with children - AVE trains have space, dining cars, and arrive in city centers rather than distant parking areas
