Parador de Toledo

The Parador de Toledo occupies one of the most celebrated positions of any hotel in Spain, set atop Cerro del Emperador — Emperor's Hill — on the south bank of the Tagus River, directly opposite Toledo's walled historic center in Castile-La Mancha. The panoramic view from the hotel's terrace takes in the full sweep of the medieval skyline: the soaring tower of Toledo Cathedral, the austere bulk of the Alcázar fortress, the Romanesque spires of San Román, and the terracotta rooftops of a city that served simultaneously as the seat of Visigothic kings, a Moorish capital, and the imperial court of Castile.
